The practice of our multinational and multilingual attorneys, many admitted in several jurisdictions, extends to all areas of business law and is focused on the counseling of corporate entities and high net worth individuals in the US and Europe. DR. MARCUS A. ERNST
Marcus A. Ernst is a member of the bar in New York and Germany and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Dr. Ernst holds an LL.B. from the University Bonn Law School and LL.D. (Dr. iur./PhD) magna cum laude from the University Regensburg Law School and an LL.M. in Corporate Law from the New York University Law School, New York, NY. In addition, he attended post-graduate courses in Merger & Acquisitions at the Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University. Prior to founding the firm, he practiced international corporate and securities law with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York and wrote and co-authored books and articles on the German and United States legal system. His practice focuses on advising corporate entities and high net worth individuals in the US and Europe in corporate and commercial matters. Dr. Ernst's clients range from large listed stock corporations to medium-sized enterprises and family-run partnerships and he accompanies corporate clients in restructurings, mergers, spin-offs and changes of form. He also advises on all measures of corporate structuring, the preparation and conduct of shareholder meetings, on changes in management and on the liability of shareholders, board members and executives. Dr. Marcus A. Ernst specializes in strategic consultation regarding brand creation and selection and advises clients in the area of contracts, in particular with regard to negotiating, such as licensing, merchandising, and coexistence agreements. In addition Dr. Ernst is counsel to film and television actors, production companies, talent agencies, agents, and other industry members. Dr. Ernst is fluent in English and German.
HERVE N. LINDER
Hervé N. Linder is a member of the New York Bar and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Linder holds a Certificate of English Legal Studies from University College London and received a J.D. (Maîtrise) in Business Law, a J.D. (Maîtrise) in Public Law from the University of Paris II-Assas, a post-graduate degree (Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies) in Anglo-American Corporate Law from the University of Paris I-Sorbonne and an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law. Hervé N. Linder's practice focuses on corporate and commercial law matters, international mergers and acquisitions, private placements, investment management and immigration and naturalization law. He is experienced in representing foreign and domestic corporations on a broad spectrum of matters pertaining to corporate governance matters, commercial, transactional and corporate laws. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced with CMS-Bureau Francis Lefebvre in New York and other corporate law firms in New York City. Mr. Linder is a member of the Board of Directors of the French American Chamber of Commerce (New York Chapter), the International Association of Lawyers, the American Bar Association (Business Law and International Law and Practice Sections), the New York State Bar Association (International Law and Practice Section) and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is fluent in English and French and conversant in Spanish and Portuguese.
